Karla is a Senior Executive, Creative Strategist, Cultural Programmer, and Brand Marketer
Karla began her career in media, and was part of the founding editorial team at NOWNESS.com and wrote for Dazed&Confused magazine before becoming Digital Editor for Topshop.com.
In 2016, Karla moved to New York, where she spent three years leading the digital and brand strategy for Topshop and Topman’s North American market, focused on content, e-commerce, and partnerships.
In 2019, Karla transitioned into hospitality, returning to London as the Director of Marketing and Culture at The Standard, London, where she led brand communications, marketing, partnerships, and programming.
In 2023, Karla was appointed Senior Vice President of Global Brand Marketing + Culture for the Standard International Management Group. Now based in New York, once again, Karla oversees the global brand message, creative identity, and overall marketing strategy for The Standard, The StandardX and The Manner.
